TIMIȘOARA FREE TOURS
Timișoara Free Tours was launched in 2020, and soon became one of the main providers of guides for tourists in the city.
We started this project with the aim of promoting Timisoara – a city located in the western part of Romania. Its rich history and beautiful buildings seem to have been forgotten by the local authorities in the last decades, so we realized that if we want something good to happen for the tourists visiting the city, we have to do it ourselves.
The team
The Timișoara Free Tours project boasts a team of almost 15 tour guides, all volunteers involved as much as their time allows, but all certified by the relevant ministries - Education and Tourism.
Experience
Some of our guides joined the project as guides, while others were trained along the way. From 2020 until now, we have offered several thousand tours to visitors of Timisoara.
